On the eve of Victory Day, more and more Kirov residents are joining the online march of the Immortal Regiment. In 2025, when the country celebrates the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, interest in participating in the campaign has doubled compared to the same period last year.
According to analysts from one of the leading mobile operators, a noticeable increase in the activity of residents of the region on thematic sites began on April 23. Since then, Internet traffic related to posting information about veterans has continued to grow rapidly. Kirov residents upload photos, share stories about the exploits of their relatives and create virtual portraits so that they become part of a large-scale online broadcast on May 9.
In addition to participating in the march, residents of the region actively study archival materials: they read front-line letters, watch historical videos and listen to songs from the war years. The most popular resource is the official website dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, which contains news, archival photos, videos, and information about key events of the war. The Memory of the People portal is also in demand, where Kirov residents spend a lot of time studying information about their relatives who served on the front.
