Parents from Kirov told who the school graduates are going to become

      In Kirov, the majority of parents of 9th grade students who do not plan to continue their studies in 10th grade reported that their children intend to enroll in secondary vocational schools - 57% of such parents turned out to be. The situation is different among parents of 11th grade graduates: 66% said that their children are aiming to enter universities, while 10% chose college.

      It is possible to note the clear leadership of information technology among university applicants in 2025. About 23% of parents reported that their children plan to become programmers or cybersecurity specialists. Engineering specialties are next with a score of 14%, and the medical field ranks third – 12% of respondents indicated that their children want to become doctors. Science (10%) and teacher education (10%) were also popular areas, with law (7%) slightly less so.

      Among the applicants of secondary vocational educational institutions, there is also an interest in IT specialties - they are leading with an indicator of 25%. The second place is occupied by the medical field, where future nurses and paramedics chose their profession according to the intentions of 15% of parents. The third place is occupied by working specialties in construction and manufacturing (11%). Pedagogical specialties (10%) and law (7%) complete the top five.
