The All-Russian clean-up day "We are for cleanliness" was held in the park of the 50th anniversary of the Komsomol

      Yesterday, the park named after the 50th anniversary of the Komsomol was transformed thanks to the All-Russian clean-up day "We are for cleanliness". Active residents of Kirov, volunteers of the Ecosystem movement, employees of the regional operator and the Federal Penitentiary Service joined forces to make this corner of the city even more cozy and comfortable for recreation.

      Alexandra Ploskonosova, Minister of Youth Policy of the Kirov region, spoke at the beginning of the event:

      "Today we are launching a series of clean-up activities throughout the region! I am sincerely pleased with the active participation of young people in the life of the Kirov region and the desire to make it a better place. It is especially symbolic that we are starting our work in such a memorable place. I would like each of us to realize that when we clean the park, we are under this peaceful sky and bright sun thanks to the feat performed by our ancestors 80 years ago."

      Armed with bags and gloves, the participants enthusiastically set to work, and within a few hours the park was shining with cleanliness. The bulk of the "finds" consisted of candy wrappers, food wrappers, bottles, cans, and other trash.

      While the clean-up was going on, an Ecomobile was on duty at the site. Residents of the city handed over clean and sorted recyclables, and volunteers helped them by telling them about different types of plastic and proper sorting.

      In addition, on April 25, the opening of the All-Russian St. George Ribbon campaign took place in the park of the 50th anniversary of the Komsomol. The event was attended by Hero of Russia Vladislav Golovin (call sign "String").

      As the participants of the event noted, it was not just a clean-up day, but a real act of love for their city, respect for its history and the memory of the heroes. They wished that the beauty created by their hands would remind people that caring for nature and preserving historical memory is the duty of every human being.
