Orphaned students from private colleges will receive state support

The deputies of the Legislative Assembly adopted an important bill in two readings. It is aimed at supporting orphaned children and children left without parental care.

The main innovation concerns those who study in secondary vocational education (SPE) programs at private colleges and technical schools on a fee-based and full-time basis. Now these students are eligible for full state support.

This means that orphans who receive education in private vocational education institutions will be provided with free meals, sets of clothes, shoes and soft equipment. Alternatively, they may receive monetary compensation.

In addition, this category of students will receive a scholarship and an annual allowance for the purchase of educational literature and writing materials. The bill also provides for other changes aimed at equalizing the rights and support measures for orphaned students, regardless of the form of ownership of the educational organization.
