Vyatka University discussed the problems of ecology of the native land

      Over 100 reports will be heard during the two days at the plenary session and 11 breakout sessions.

      On April 23, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ecology of the native land: problems and solutions" began at Vyatka State University. In addition to the largest university in the Kirov region, the organizers included the Institute of Biology of the Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Syktyvkar, Russia) and the Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology (Benxi, Liaoning Province, China).

      "This is the twentieth time we have organized a conference with this name here at Vyatka State University. At the moment, it has formed such a dense intellectual and educational space that it has acquired international status. I consider this to be one of the achievements.

      They became possible due to the issue that you have chosen as the key topic for discussion. The problems of the ecology of the native land are common, they are typical for the whole country, for our entire planet. At the same time, each region lives its own life and has its own list of problems or offers its own solutions to common problems. That is why it is so important to meet, exchange opinions, shape the agenda of environmental research and, strictly speaking, shape the agenda of the ecology of life itself for those people who live in this area," emphasized Vyatka State University President Valery Yungblud, welcoming the participants.They represent 26 regions of Russia, as well as 16 cities in China, Thailand, India, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Poland. This was announced by Vyatka State University Professor Tamara Ashikhmina, the constant inspirer and key organizer of the major event.

      Timur Abashev, Minister of Environmental Protection of the Kirov region, noted:

      "Only joint work, consolidation of the efforts of science, business, the state, and non-profit organizations can solve the tasks of preserving the environment: ecology in general and ecology of the native land."

      The participants were addressed by representatives of the leadership of the Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology, Director of the Institute of Biology of the Komi Scientific Research Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ivan Chadin, Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Kirov Region Sergey Ulitin, Vice-President of the Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry Leonid Perminov, Chairman of the Committee on Ecology of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov Region Elena Perminova, Director of the Institute of Chemistry and Ecology of Vyatka State University Denis Kozulin.

      The II International Scientific and Practical Conference on the ecology of the native land has started. Over the course of two days, the participants will hear more than 100 reports. They will be presented during an extensive plenary session and 11 breakout sessions.
