A resident of Nagorsk will be put on trial for fraud with benefits and social contract

      The Investigative Committee has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 28-year-old resident of Nagorsk, who is accused of fraud in obtaining benefits and social assistance. The woman is charged with two counts of crimes under Parts 1 and 3 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud in receiving payments, including on a large scale).

      According to investigators, from June to November 2022, the accused provided the employment center with deliberately false information about the lack of income and illegally received unemployment benefits in the amount of more than 52 thousand rubles.

      In addition, in October of the same year, the woman applied to the Social Protection Department for state assistance for business development. When concluding a social contract, she concealed the fact of her employment and submitted false income data. Based on these documents, she was paid 27 thousand rubles for training and 305 thousand rubles for entrepreneurial activity.

      The total damage amounted to 384 thousand rubles. In order to compensate him, the court, at the request of the investigation, seized the property of the accused.

      According to the regional Investigative Committee, exhaustive evidence has been collected in the case. The criminal case with the approved indictment has been transferred to the court for consideration on the merits.
