The manufacturer of ice cream sticks is facing a large fine for environmental pollution
The Prometheus company, which produces wooden ice cream sticks, may face a fine of up to half a million rubles. The cause was environmental pollution in the Kotelnichsky district. The Ministry of Environmental Protection has completed an unscheduled inspection of an enterprise located in the village of Puzyrenki.
The inspection was organized due to a possible threat to public health. The Ministry's inspectors visited the industrial site of the enterprise. They took samples of industrial waste, sewage, as well as water from the Mosunovka River, which flows nearby.
The inspection revealed serious violations of environmental legislation. Non-compliance with the requirements for the protection of water bodies has been established. Improper operation of the cleaning equipment and violations of the rules of industrial waste management were also recorded.
As a result, the company was issued an order and demanded to eliminate violations. In the near future, the Ministry will initiate administrative proceedings against the company. This may result in a heavy fine.
