Kirov residents on holidays: which day is considered the most important

      According to the survey results, Victory Day occupies the first place in the hearts of citizens - 76% of respondents named it the main holiday. This opinion is especially pronounced among people over the age of 45.

      In the second place in importance was New Year's Eve with 73% of the votes. Defender of the Fatherland Day and International Women's Day shared the third place, gaining 43% of the votes. 39% of respondents chose Christmas. The first of May and Russia Day was noted as important by 33% of the respondents. Closes the list National Unity Day with 20% of the vote.

      On the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the level of support for public initiatives was also studied. The actions "Immortal Regiment" and "St. George Ribbon" were highly appreciated by the townspeople: 92% and 88%, respectively, expressed approval of these events.

      The greatest support for the campaign is found among the female audience and young people under 35 years of age. The survey participants emphasize the importance of preserving the memory of the war.

      The respondents paid special attention to the correct attitude to Victory symbols. In response to criticism of the actions, the townspeople note the inadmissibility of disrespectful treatment of the St. George ribbon: "This is a badge of distinction that must be earned," "The St. George ribbon is an award, not an ornament," emphasizing that May 9 is primarily a day of remembrance of the feat of past generations.
