Kirov celebrated a Bright Easter

Easter is not just the most important Christian holiday. It is the center of the Christian faith, symbolizing the victory of life over death, light over darkness. Easter is always celebrated with special joy and solemnity. Christmas, Epiphany, Trinity — all these important holidays do not have such power, solemnity and inspiration: if Christ had not risen, everything else would not have made sense.

Easter is the hope and belief that death is not final, that suffering is not meaningless, and that love is stronger than death. The resurrection of Christ from the dead gives every believer the hope of eternal life.

Festive divine services, led by Metropolitan Mark of Vyatka and Sloboda, were held at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Chistye Prudy. On the festive evening, the church was full: believers came to celebrate the Bright Resurrection of Christ in the house of God, to walk in a procession around the church to the festive bells, joyfully exclaim "Christ is risen!" and just as joyfully answer "Truly he is risen!".

In addition to ordinary Kirov residents, Alexander Sokolov, the head of the region, Alexey Zherdev, deputy chairman of the government of the Kirov region, Vyacheslav Simakov, head of the city administration, and Nikita Belykh, ex-governor of the Kirov region, were seen at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

It should be noted that, according to tradition, on Sunday, April 20, at 16:00, Easter Great Vespers will be held at the Holy Dormition Cathedral. The service will be led by Metropolitan Mark of Vyatka and Sloboda. In addition, according to the Vyatka Diocese, during Great Vespers, the Blessed Fire will be distributed to the faithful.
