
Russian Post has launched courier mail forwarding
Russian Post has introduced a new service that makes delivery management more flexible. Now customers can independently redirect courier shipments to the nearest or most convenient post office in order to pick up the parcel at the appropriate time.
The process of using the new service is simple. When the parcel arrives for delivery, the customer receives an SMS or push notification with information about the storage location and duration. After that, in the mobile application or on the Russian Post website, the recipient can select the forwarding option and specify another, more convenient branch from the suggested list of available ones. To receive a parcel at the selected branch, it will be enough to present the QR code to the employee.
Currently, the forwarding function is already available to users of Russian Post mobile applications for devices running on Android and HarmonyOS operating systems. You can also use the service on the official website of the Post Office. The company plans to make this option available to owners of iOS devices in the near future.
