Five landscape fires have occurred in the Kirov region

      Since the beginning of the spring season, five landscape fires have been registered in the Kirov region. The total area covered by the fire was more than 3.5 hectares. Such statistics are provided by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

      According to rescuers, to date, there have been no cases of fire passing from burning grass to residential buildings and other buildings. However, the risk of such accidents persists if fire safety regulations are not followed.

      The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds residents of precautionary measures. It is safe to burn garbage and last year's foliage only in metal barrels installed away from buildings and forests. In dry and windy weather, it is strongly recommended not to build campfires or carry out any flammable work outdoors. It is also important to keep an eye on children and not let them play with matches and lighters.

      Administrative liability is possible for violations of fire safety requirements. The penalty for non-compliance with the rules can range from 5 to 15 thousand rubles. In cases where the fire spreads to buildings and structures due to fallen grass or harms human health, the perpetrators may be brought to criminal responsibility.
