The deputies proposed to reject Mamayev's bill on a moratorium on renaming streets.
At a meeting of the Council of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov region, an approximate list of issues was approved for consideration at the April session. However, not all initiatives have been approved. In particular, it was proposed to reject the bill of deputy Sergei Mamaev.
Mamaev proposed to introduce a moratorium on the renaming of streets and settlements in the Kirov region. However, according to the conclusions of the Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the region and the regional prosecutor's office, this bill contradicts federal legislation. It assigns the decision on the naming of geographical objects to the powers of local governments. In connection with this discrepancy, the deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Alexei Potapenko, proposed to exclude the bill from the list of issues and return it to the author for revision or review.
A similar decision was made on another initiative concerning changes in the length of service requirements for awarding the title of "Veteran of Labor of the Kirov region", introduced by Deputy Albert Bikalyuk. The reason was the lack of necessary financial and economic justification.
Despite the rejection of some proposals, the general list of issues for the April session, which includes more than 20 items, was approved. Meetings of relevant committees will be held on April 22 and 23, and the plenary session of the regional parliament is scheduled for April 24.
