Sokolov boasted about schools to the feds
Governor Alexander Sokolov attended a board meeting of the Russian Ministry of Education. At today's meeting, he summed up the results of this trip. During the meeting with federal colleagues, the tasks of the education system for the near future were discussed.
The head of the region stressed that the Kirov region allocates significant resources to the development of the educational sphere. More than 30% of the region's budget is allocated for these purposes. New schools and kindergartens are being actively built in the region, as well as the overhaul of existing institutions. These achievements were presented to the Ministry as part of the work on updating the "childhood infrastructure".
According to the governor, special attention in the region is paid to the development of a training system for engineering and technical specialties. A course was taken to support these areas, including through the secondary vocational education system. Sokolov also noted the successful implementation of the Professionalism program, which shows good results in training personnel in demand at enterprises in the region.
