The Kirov resident got drunk and left her one-year-old son in a cold apartment with two dogs

      A 42-year-old resident of Novovyatsk in December 2023 abused alcohol and took poor care of her child. So, one day she left her one-year-old son in the apartment at the street. The Soviet one.

      On that day, police officers came to the family to check the living conditions and upbringing of the children. In the apartment, they saw ice forming on the windows: the air temperature did not exceed 10 degrees Celsius. In addition, there was a risk that the child would get burns due to exposed wires of household electrical appliances, and there were two dogs in the apartment. As a result, the woman's actions were qualified under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abandonment in danger).

      Subsequently, the woman was deprived of her parental rights. Now the boy is being brought up in a state institution, his life and health are not in danger.

      The prosecutor of the Novovyatsky district appealed to the court with a claim to recover compensation from the convicted person for moral damage caused to the child as a result of criminal attacks. The demands were recognized as legitimate and justified. Compensation in the amount of 100 thousand rubles was collected from the woman in favor of her son. The execution of the court's decision is supervised by the prosecutor's office of the Novovyatsky district of Kirov.
