      Governor Alexander Sokolov instructed to develop mechanisms for creating housing adapted to the needs of disabled people in a special military operation. This was discussed at a meeting of the Council for the Disabled, which was held at the Rehabilitation Center for Defenders of the Fatherland in Mitino.

      During the discussion of assistance to the participants of the SVR, the adaptation of housing for fighters with disabilities was recognized as an important task. The participants emphasized the need to create comfortable living conditions for defenders of the Fatherland. To solve this problem, it will be necessary to adjust existing construction programs and provide the necessary financing.

      Following the meeting of the council, an instruction was given to develop specific mechanisms for providing the disabled with adapted housing. Work has already begun on the issue of creating adapted residential premises by developers, especially those with whom agreements have been concluded on the integrated development of territories. In addition, options are being considered for exchanging apartments located on the upper floors for housing on the lower floors, as well as adapting existing apartments to the needs of people with disabilities.
