
Kirov region ranks 4th in Russia in child obesity
According to the agency, on average in Russia from 2022 to 2024, the number of children with the disease increased from 1,852.8 to 2,106.4 per 100,000 people.
Children are most often obese in the Orenburg Region (5,491.2 cases per 100,000 people in 2024), the Ryazan Region (5,038) and the Republic of Karelia (4,473. 5).
In the Kirov region, the overall incidence of obesity in children aged 0 to 17 years per 100,000 people is steadily increasing: 3,506.4 cases in 2022, 3,655.5 in 2023 and 3,867 in 2024 (4th place in the top regions).

The Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System (EMISS) has published statistics on the incidence of obesity in children aged 0 to 17 years.
