The regional operator commented on the changes in fees for garbage collection

      Recall that at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev and the regions on the environmental agenda, the issue of calculating fees for garbage collection was discussed. The fee for garbage collection is planned to be calculated based on the area of the apartment, and not the number of people living in it, as is the case now. Currently, the regions independently determine the payment system for garbage collection. Basically, the indicator is calculated from the number registered on the living area.

      According to Kuprit, the introduction of a single calculation procedure for the area will not affect the amount of fees for residents of apartment buildings in Kirov and Kirovo-Chepetsk. "It is not yet possible to assess the impact on residents of other districts, since the MSW standard for the area has not yet been approved," representatives of the regional operator said.

      As for the calculation of fees for garbage collection in Kirov and Kirovo-Chepetsk, as reported in Kuprit, it is calculated as follows:

      for apartment buildings — by housing area (per 1 sq. m.)

      for private houses — by the number of residents registered in it.
