Half of Kirov residents know how to protect their labor rights

Every second economically active resident of Kirov knows the basic provisions of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and is ready to independently defend their rights before their employer, a survey by the SuperJob service showed.

According to the study, 50% of respondents are confident in their knowledge of labor legislation and are ready to apply it in practice. Another 37% are aware of their rights, but believe that it will be difficult for them to achieve justice without the help of a lawyer.

Kirov residents aged 35 to 45 years show the greatest confidence in their knowledge — 57% of them consider themselves competent in matters of labor legislation. Even more of those who are ready to defend their interests are among people with an income of 100 thousand rubles or more — 62%.

13% of the respondents admitted that they are not familiar with the norms of labor legislation. Among the popular reasons is the belief in the futility of this knowledge: "I don't see the point in studying – the norms are not followed anyway," "I have enough life experience."

Experts remind you that knowing your rights is an important tool in disputes with an employer. In case of violation of labor legislation, employees can apply to the labor inspectorate or the court.
