Pensioners have been taught not to fall for online scams

      A discussion platform was held at the site of the center for local activity No. 1 in the Oktyabrsky district, organized by MFC specialists Maria Anisimova and Valeria Lelekova. The main topic was security when using the public services portal. The experts talked about the advantages of the portal and presented a new Digital Consulting service, now available in multifunctional city centers.

      The meeting participants were told how to secure their account on the public services portal, what actions to take in case of hacking attempts, and what popular services can be obtained online. Among them: making an appointment with a doctor, receiving subsidies for utility bills, receiving benefits for capital repairs, extracts from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, certificates of pre-retirement status, payment of debts and state duties, as well as the ability to set a self-lock on loans.

      "The events are aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining public services via the Internet for Kirov residents, especially for the elderly, as well as improving their digital literacy and security," the organizers noted. At the end of the seminar, all participants received information booklets with useful information.
