In Kirov, a drunk driver got a suspended sentence and lost his car.

      On the evening of September 29, a 30-year-old resident of Kirov, being drunk, got behind the wheel of a VAZ-2110, after which he decided to drive through the streets of the city. At some point, at the house number 40 on Komsomolskaya St., he was detained and suspended from driving by traffic police inspectors. When checking the identity data, it turned out that the man had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for the same act. At that time, he was sentenced to a fine of 30 thousand rubles, as well as deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for 1 year and 6 months.

      So, a criminal case was opened against a resident of Kirov. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving while intoxicated by a person who has been subjected to administrative punishment or has a criminal record). The court sentenced him to 1 year in prison. In addition, taking into account the identity data, as well as the totality of mitigating circumstances, the court considered it possible to apply the provisions of art. 73 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (suspended sentence), setting a probation period of 1 year.

      According to a court verdict, a 30-year-old man cannot drive a car for two years. His car was confiscated by the state.
