In February 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and the Perm Territory received information about a violation of veterinary legislation by a resident of the city of Sovetsk. According to the case file, a dog belonging to a citizen bit his neighbor. However, the owner of the animal did not provide the dog to the veterinary institution for mandatory clinical examination and quarantine within 12 hours after the incident, as required by the rules.
The actions of the dog owner violate the Law of the Russian Federation "On Veterinary Medicine" and Veterinary regulations aimed at preventing and eliminating rabies outbreaks. Failure to comply with these rules poses a threat to the spread of this dangerous disease among humans and animals.
