The match between the junior hockey teams Soyuz (Kirov) and Mordovia ended in a mass brawl right on the ice. The audience, who watched the outcome of the meeting, said that after the referee's final whistle, the hockey players lined up for a traditional handshake. One of the athletes of "Mordovia" hit a player of the Kirov team "Soyuz", and then knocked him to the ice. A mass brawl ensued.
However, according to eyewitnesses, the fight was short-lived: after a couple of minutes, the judges managed to calm the raging hockey players.
It should be noted that the match took place on March 9 and ended with a score of 7:3 in favor of Kirov residents.
