Igor Gennadievich Konopeltsev, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor of the Department of Non-Infectious, Infectious and Invasive Diseases, died on March 7, 2025. Igor Gennadievich was born on December 7, 1960 in Vyatskiye Polyany. After graduating from the Kirov Agricultural Institute in 1986, he began his career as an assistant at the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics, working his way up to professor and Vice-rector for Research and Innovation.
Igor Gennadievich Konopeltsev, according to the press service of Vyatgatu, was not only a talented scientist, but also a true innovator in the field of veterinary reproductology. He founded a new scientific school on ozone therapy, developed and implemented a number of effective methods of treatment and prevention of obstetric and gynecological diseases in farm animals. Colleagues and students remember Igor Gennadievich as a man of exceptional kindness, generosity and openness. He was always ready to share his knowledge and experience, to inspire young scientists to do new research. Under his leadership, 10 PhD theses were successfully defended.
Igor Gennadyevich was awarded many awards for his many years of conscientious work, including certificates of honor from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and the title of laureate of the Kirov Region Prize in agriculture.
Igor Gennadyevich's farewell will take place on March 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at 13a Mendeleeva Street.
