They want to multiply fines for unsanitary conditions in apartments
In Russia, it is planned to review fines for unsanitary conditions in residential and public premises. The relevant bill is being developed in the State Duma, and it was initiated by Sergey Kolunov, deputy chairman of the Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, the Kommersant newspaper reports. Rospotrebnadzor, represented by the head of the department, Anna Popova, has already expressed support for this initiative.
As part of the bill, it is proposed to significantly increase fines. For individuals who violate sanitary standards, fines may increase from the current 500-1500 rubles to 25 thousand rubles. For legal entities, the sanctions are planned to be increased from 10-20 thousand rubles to 500 thousand rubles. Rospotrebnadzor argues for the need to increase fines by saying that the existing amounts, which have not changed since 2008, are not effective enough and do not stimulate compliance with sanitary standards.
Sergey Kolunov confirmed that the increase in fines has received support and is planned to be implemented. In addition, he intends to continue working on the return to the legislation of the norm providing for the possibility of housing withdrawal in the event that penalties do not take effect.
