"Police officers" extort money from Kirov residents
Residents of the Kirov region began receiving messages in the Telegram messenger from alleged police leaders. The scammers talked about imaginary checks by the FSB of Russia, and as confirmation they attached photos of forged documents and voice messages generated by a neural network. In this way, the attackers sought to transfer money from citizens to so-called "secure accounts."
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kirov region reminds citizens that police officers and other law enforcement agencies do not communicate via messengers. Internal affairs agencies do not have official telegram channels or groups.
