A bill has been submitted to the Legislative Assembly of the region on the establishment of a Large Family Day in the Kirov region. According to the website of the Regional Assembly, nine women deputies signed the legislative initiative: Elena Alexandrova, Olga Borisova, Elena Gorshkova, Tatiana Yerdyakova, Irina Morozova, Elena Perminova, Tatiana Platunova, Anastasia Skurikhina and Olga Tyrykina.
The day of a large family in the Kirov region is planned to be established on January 23. It was on this day, in 2024, that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the unified federal status of a large family. As noted by Irina Morozova, Deputy chairman of the Regional Council, this document has become crucial for increasing attention to large families throughout the country.
The explanatory note to the draft law states that the Day of a large Family has already been established as a holiday in 14 regions of the country. The introduction of such a holiday in the Kirov region will contribute to the formation of spiritual, moral and family values among the residents of the region.
