Alexander Shaganov is a poet who conquered generations

      Shaganov is not just an outstanding songwriter, he is a human phenomenon who creates texts that become part of the national musical heritage, being perceived as folk, regardless of the age of the listener.

      The secret of his success lies in his ability to preserve his youthful enthusiasm, that inextinguishable spark of inspiration that allows him to see the world through the eyes of a young man in love, even after decades of creative career.

      The songs born from his pen brought national love and fame to the Ivanushkas, the Lube group, and Evgeny Belousov... They sound on the airwaves, in movies, on family holidays, becoming symbols of entire eras. Even the short list of performers with whom Shaganov collaborated is impressive: from the legendary Lyudmila Zykina and the unique Sofia Rotaru to Alexander Barykin and Alexander Marshal. This is a testament to his unique ability to find a common language with a wide variety of performers and create poems that perfectly match their style.

      Nine years ago, at the Greenland Festival (16+) in Basharovo, Alexander Shaganov performed a medley of his most famous songs for the first time. This performance was a real event. It seemed that all the Russian pop stars had gathered on the stage, his works sounded so organically and professionally. Since then, Shaganov has consistently participated in the festival and is co-chairman of the jury of the All-Russian correspondence poetry and song contest. 

      Oleg Valenchuk, chairman of the Greenland Festival and State Duma deputy, congratulated the poet on the significant date.
