Uncomfortable café: In Belaya Kholunitsa, a woman struck another in the face with a glass bottle.

      The Slobodskoy District Court has put an end to the case of a 37-year-old resident of Belaya Kholunitsa, who found herself in the dock at the end of October last year for an aggressive outburst in a local café. The incident occurred on October 26, 2025, when two women were simultaneously present in the establishment "Uyut." At some point, the defendant, without any visible grounds for doing so, struck her opponent with a glass bottle. The blow landed directly on the face. Initially, the forensic medical examination classified the cuts as injuries resulting in minor harm to health. However, after the tissues on the victim's face healed, a scar formed, which, as specialists concluded, significantly distorts her appearance. Since this cosmetic defect was deemed irreversible, this circumstance drastically affected the legal assessment of the actions. The defendant's actions were requalified to a more serious offense — intentional infliction of serious harm to health, committed out of hooligan motives (paragraphs "d" and "z" of part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The lack of justification for the act became an aggravating factor. The prosecutor supporting the charges sought a strict punishment, and the court fully agreed with this position. The verdict sentenced the woman to 4 years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony. At the same time, the court took into account the presence of a minor child with the defendant. Utilizing the provisions of Article 82 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the court granted the convicted woman a deferment of actual serving of the sentence — until the minor reaches the age of 14. However, it was not possible to defer the financial responsibility to the victim. Within the framework of civil proceedings, compensation was awarded from the guilty party, covering both material damage and moral suffering of the victim. The total amount of the award exceeded 640,000 rubles.
