Associate Professor Alexander Tukmachev of KGMU has passed away.
On August 28, Alexander Tukmachev passed away — an associate professor at the Department of General Surgery of Kirov State Medical University. This was reported by university staff.
Alexander Gennadyevich was born in 1959. He graduated from the pediatric faculty of Izhevsk State Medical Institute and completed an internship in pediatric surgery. From 1983 to 1989, he worked as an orthopedic traumatologist at the orthopedic-traumatology clinic of Children's City Hospital No. 2 in Izhevsk.
From 1989 to 1991, Alexander Gennadyevich served as an assistant in the course of traumatology, orthopedics, and military field surgery at the branch of PGMI in Kirov (now KSMU). In 1990, he defended his candidate dissertation, and in 2010 he became an associate professor. From 1991 to 2020, he led the work of the cycle of traumatology and orthopedics at the Department of General Surgery.
In addition, in 1995, Tukmachev graduated from the Central Institute of Innovation and Industrial Property in Moscow and received a patent expert diploma. From 1995 to 2001, he combined his main activity with work as a patent expert.
Alexander Gennadyevich had a scientific and pedagogical experience of 35 years. He authored more than 60 scientific and methodological works and received five patents for inventions.
Tukmachev was also a freelance forensic expert and conducted forensic medical examinations in the field of orthopedics and traumatology. He was a member of the board of the Association of Traumatologists-Orthopedists of Kirov Region, the chairman of the Public Council "Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery," and an expert on the quality of treatment for the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund in Kirov Region.
For his work, Alexander Gennadyevich was awarded a certificate of honor from the Ministry of Health of Russia, a certificate of honor from the Department of Health of Kirov Region, and various acknowledgments and certificates from the university.
