"What this world will be like is your decision": a lecture by the governor of the Kirov region took place at VyatSU for students and young teachers.

      The educational project organized by the regional institute of corporate development in collaboration with the Government of the Kirov region and Vyatka State University has been providing young people with a lively dialogue with outstanding speakers from the region for the third year now. Its mission is to show the younger generation that serving society and the homeland is an important part of personal development and professional choice.

      On September 2, the venue of the Engineering Center at VyatGU brought together more than 250 students, teachers, and staff from Kirov universities and colleges, as well as active citizens.

      A year ago, within the framework of the project, the head of the region spoke about public service. This time, Alexander Sokolov dedicated his lecture to the role of youth in building the future.

      "Your generation has a unique feature – all innovative ideas come to you because you are free from the stereotypes that bind older generations," emphasized Alexander Valentinovich. The governor called the creation of strong families an invaluable contribution to the future of Russia. According to sociological surveys, for the younger generation, family is a great value that must be earned and provided for.

      "Happiness can be postponed when a person first works, builds a career, and only then thinks about family. But it can also happen here and now. So happiness is when those you love are happy. And the more of them there are, the more happiness there is," said Alexander Sokolov.

      Alexander Valentinovich paid special attention to the topic of the special military operation and urged young people to resist information attacks from the enemy: "Currently, information warfare is significantly more effective than hot warfare. I urge you to critically assess what you read on the internet. Verify information from several official sources." At the end of the lecture, the governor of the Kirov region, Alexander Sokolov, answered listeners' questions about development points in the region, youth associations, opportunities for professional self-realization, and tools for preserving historical memory.

      "We cannot decide for you what kind of world you want to live in. We can only create conditions for your life and creativity, and what this world will be like is your decision. We are ready to listen to you and do it the way you want," concluded the governor, leaving in the hearts of each listener not only words but also a spark of responsibility for tomorrow.
