A Kirov resident got lost in the mountains of Sochi.
A 20-year-old resident of the Kirov region got lost in the mountains of Sochi while hiking to the Keyva waterfall. The girl, along with a friend, decided to climb the slopes of Mount Achishkho, but both tourists strayed from the trail and were unable to find their way back on their own.
The girls called the emergency service 112. Rescuers from the Krasnaya Polyana unit of the YURPSO of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with employees of "Kuban-SPAS," were sent to help them.
The rescuers found the tourists above the Keyva waterfall. They helped the girls descend back to the trail, after which they led them out of the forest area. Both tourists came to Sochi from Novosibirsk and Kirov regions.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that before hiking, it is advisable to register the route and take water, a map, a compass, and a charged phone with you.
