The motorcycle stolen in Novovyatsk was found disassembled in a friend's garage.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov Region received a statement from an 18-year-old resident of the Novovyatsky District. The young man reported the theft of a motorcycle that had been left the day before near the entrance of a building on Sportivnaya Street. The estimated damage, according to the applicant, amounted to 55,000 rubles.
During operational search activities, officers of the criminal investigation department identified the identities of three individuals involved in the disappearance of the vehicle. All of them were taken to police station No. 3 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kirov. The suspects turned out to be two 19-year-old young men and a 16-year-old teenager.
As established by the police, the criminals cut the cable that secured the motorcycle, after which they started it and drove away. The stolen vehicle was used by the suspects for trips over several days. Then one of the suspects handed the vehicle over to an acquaintance — as explained in the release, in payment of a debt.
Law enforcement officers found the motorcycle in the garage of this friend. At the time of seizure, the vehicle was in a disassembled state. Currently, the issue of returning it to the owner is being resolved.
The actions of the suspects have been classified by the investigation as theft committed by a group of individuals by prior agreement. A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
