Central Bank: The pension portfolio grew in the second quarter due to investments and non-state pension funds.
According to the regulator's website, the total pension portfolio in the second quarter of 2026 grew due to investment income and inflows into non-state pension fund programs. Participants in the long-term savings program contributed over 83 billion rubles, while contributions to the non-state pension provision program amounted to 42.0 billion rubles. As a result, pension reserves increased to 3.3 trillion rubles.
"The pension savings portfolio of the NPF (non-state pension fund) slightly grew from April to June to 3.6 trillion rubles after negative dynamics at the beginning of the year. This is due to the fact that in the second quarter, unlike the January-March period, there were no transfers of pension savings to the PDS (long-term savings program) as an initial contribution," the Central Bank's website reported.
For investment, NPFs continued to choose federal loan bonds (OFZ) and corporate bonds, while reducing their investments in money market instruments and deposits.
