A dropper from Krasnodar returned the stolen money with interest to a pensioner from Kirovo-Chepetsk.
The Kirovo-Chepetsk City Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation into the theft of money from a 67-year-old local pensioner using IT technologies. The woman lost 177,000 rubles, which is a significant amount for her due to her modest income.
During the investigation, with the assistance of police officers, it was established that the stolen funds were transferred to the bank account of a front person — a so-called dropper. This individual is registered and resides in the Krasnodar Territory. It was to his account that the money was sent for subsequent cashing out.
Since the pensioner, due to her age, cannot independently defend her interests in civil proceedings, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit demanding the recovery of unjust enrichment from the recipient of the funds. In addition, the supervisory authority claimed interest for the use of someone else's money, as provided for by civil legislation.
The court fully satisfied the prosecutor's claim. After the decision came into legal force, the defendant transferred the awarded amount to the pensioner. The total amount of the payment, including interest, was 209,000 rubles.
