Accounts of Kirov residents on public services have been blocked to combat fraud.

      On July 27, several residents of Kirov reported the inability to access their personal accounts on the State Services portal. The system displayed a message about the account being blocked. Among those affected were also individuals who used an electronic signature.

      Now the agency has revealed the reasons for what happened. According to the response from the Ministry of Digital Development to the inquiry of one of the affected users, the temporary access restriction was a result of an internal investigation. The territorial department of the Multifunctional Center (MFC) for the Primorsky District of Kirov, located on Vladimirskaya Street, came under suspicion. As part of measures to enhance protection against fraudsters, access to accounts created or confirmed at this office was temporarily suspended. Currently, the operation of this center, as stated in the document, has been halted. The editorial team of Newsler.ru attempted to call, but no one answered: "The subscriber is unavailable."

      The response from the Ministry of Digital Development emphasizes that such measures are provided for in the User Agreement of the Unified System for Identification and Authentication (ESIA) and are aimed at ensuring the security of personal data.

      The applicant, as noted in the document, restored access to the account on July 27 at another office—the territorial department of the MFC for the Lenin District of Kirov on Kalinina Street.

      In addition to clarifying the reasons for the blockage, the Ministry of Digital Development highlighted issues related to the security of accessing the system. Citizens are advised to choose alternative methods of two-factor authentication in their profile settings: to use one-time codes from specialized applications or biometrics. The document also mentions that using the national messenger "MAX" is one of the legitimate ways to confirm access. In case of difficulties, users are encouraged to contact the portal's support service by phone or through online chat.
