A participant in the special military operation from the Podosinovsky district became a victim of fraudsters in September 2025. The criminals deceitfully stole almost 1 million rubles from him. A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident under part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — fraud.
The prosecutor's inspection revealed that after the theft, the money was transferred to the accounts of so-called "droppers" — front persons through whom the criminals cashed out the funds. They resided in Tatarstan, Karelia, and the Moscow and Tyumen regions.
To protect the rights of the victim, the Podosinovsky district prosecutor's office filed lawsuits in court to recover the amount of unjust enrichment from the recipients of the money.
The court granted the supervisory authority's claims. The prosecutor's office is monitoring the enforcement of the court's decisions.
