Kirov Schools in the RAEX-2026 Rankings: Federal Positions and Regional Arrangement

      RAEX traditionally presents two types of rankings. The first evaluates schools based on the number of graduates admitted to the country's top universities. The second measures competitiveness — the ratio of budget-funded to paid places and the share of students admitted through Olympiad benefits. Kirov schools are featured in both lists, but their positions differ.

      Federal positions by admission scale

      In the ranking considering the number of students admitted to leading universities, Kirov Physics and Mathematics Lyceum (KFML) is ranked 120th with a score of 94.442. Kirov Economic and Legal Lyceum (KEPL) took 229th place (65.343 points), Natural Sciences Lyceum (KLEN) — 406th (47.811), Vyatka Humanities Gymnasium (VGG) — 448th (45.219).

      Federal positions by competitiveness

      In the competitiveness ranking, KFML rises to 33rd place (55.121 points). KLEN is fixed at 242nd position (29.649), VGG — at 272nd (28.437). KEPL did not make it into the top 300 list.

      Data on enrollment structure

      Each school has its own admission model:

      KFML: budget — 50%, contract — 12.7%, Olympiad students — 37.3% (total 100%).

      KEPL: budget — 45.7%, contract — 39%, Olympiad students — 15.2%.

      KLEN: budget — 62.1%, contract — 13.6%, Olympiad students — 24.2%.

      VGG: budget — 53.4%, contract — 41.1%, Olympiad students — 5.5%.

      Regional rankings of Kirov region

      In the list of "Best Schools in Kirov Region" by competitiveness, the places are distributed as follows: 1st — KFML, 2nd — KLEN, 3rd — VGG, 4th — KEPL. In the scale ranking, the first two positions were taken by KFML and KEPL, followed by KLEN and VGG.

      Thus, KEPL, which did not make it into the federal top 300 by competitiveness, ranks second only to KFML in the regional scale ranking. VGG, on the contrary, occupies 3rd and 4th places respectively in both regional lists. KLEN consistently falls within the second to third hundred of the nationwide competitiveness ranking.
