Recently, in Sovetsk, the search for a contractor to carry out the reconstruction of the city's water supply system was announced once again. A total of 30.16 million rubles has been allocated for this from local and regional budgets. Advance payments are not provided. Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until September 1, 2026. The reconstruction must be completed by December 15, 2026.
It should be noted that, according to the state procurement website, the authorities have been struggling with the water supply system for several years. Five years ago, a reconstruction project was developed. At the end of 2022, a competition for the execution of works was announced, but no companies applied. Soon, the authorities announced a second competition, and this time a contractor was found, with whom a contract for 129.4 million rubles was signed; however, in 2024, the customer decided to terminate it unilaterally due to slow progress in the work.
In early 2024, there were two more competitions; in the first case, no one applied, and in the second, a contractor was found, with whom a contract for 24.7 million rubles was signed, but in 2025, this contract was terminated by mutual agreement. Finally, two contracts were announced in August 2026; in the first case, no one applied, and we mentioned the second above.
