The Kirov region has been "flooded" with berries from Kyrgyzstan.
Since the beginning of 2026, 50.72 tons of berries have been imported into the Kirov region from Kyrgyzstan. This is 1.85 times more than in the same period last year, when the volume of supplies was 27.42 tons.
The Rosselkhoznadzor clarified that this refers to raspberries, strawberries, and cherries.
The last batch of berries was inspected by specialists on August 24. In the region, 4.2 tons of products received from Kyrgyzstan were examined. Together with specialists from the Kirov branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIKR," Rosselkhoznadzor employees collected samples for laboratory research.
According to the results of the examination, no quarantine objects were found in the batch. A state quarantine phytosanitary control act was issued for the products, allowing the berries to be used as intended.
