The Kirov Prosecutor's Office has recovered 400 thousand from dropper operators from Ryazan, Chelyabinsk, and St. Petersburg through the court.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Yuryansky District of the Kirov Region conducted an investigation into the theft of money from a 58-year-old local resident using IT technologies. It was established that in June 2025, under the influence of criminals, the woman transferred 400,000 rubles belonging to her to unknown bank accounts.
During joint work with the police's operational services, it was revealed that the stolen funds were directed to the accounts of individuals who subsequently cashed the money. These so-called "droppers" turned out to be residents of three regions of Russia — the Ryazan and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as the city of St. Petersburg.
Since the victim is a pensioner with a low income level and, as stated in the investigation materials, cannot independently represent her interests in court, the district prosecutor filed claims against the account holders where the woman's funds ended up. Claims were made for the recovery of unjust enrichment and interest for the use of someone else's money in accordance with civil legislation.
The court reviewed the materials and fully satisfied the claims of the supervisory authority. Now, from the defendants residing in the Ryazan and Chelyabinsk regions and St. Petersburg, the entire amount of the stolen funds has been recovered, as well as interest accrued during the time the money was in their accounts.
Currently, the progress of the enforcement proceedings is under the control of the prosecutor's office. A resident of Belaya Kholunitsa transferred 48 thousand for a fish finder but did not wait for the package. A Kirov resident fell victim to scammers twice and lost 1.2 million rubles. The Ministry of Internal Affairs named the phrase after which one should immediately hang up.
