Kirov residents have started to leave for Moscow more often.
Kirov and Moscow are currently connected by 16 direct and transit trains. Positive dynamics have been maintained throughout the year.
For comparison, nearly 900,000 passengers traveled from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow from January to July — an increase of 8.2% compared to last year's figures. There are 27 direct and transit trains operating between the cities.
About 430,000 people traveled from Kazan to the capital in seven months — roughly the same as the previous year. There are 16 trains operating between Kazan and Moscow.
From Izhevsk, 85,000 passengers headed towards Moscow, which is 6.5% more than the figures for January to July 2025. Four trains operate between the cities.

In the seven months of 2026, approximately 190,000 passengers traveled by long-distance trains from Kirov to Moscow. This is 14% more than in the same period last year, reported the Gorky Railway.
