The Kirov company lost the lawsuit due to the use of the trademarks "Growth Point" and "Kvantorium."

      Earlier, the federal institution "Center for Educational Initiatives of the Ministry of Education of Russia" filed a lawsuit against the local manufacturing firm "Azbuka" in the Arbitration Court of the Kirov Region. Its representatives claimed that the defendant allegedly used the trademarks "Growth Point," "IT Cube," and "Quantorium" illegally in its activities, the rights to which belong to the "Center." They demanded compensation from the company in the amount of 2 million rubles.

      During the court proceedings, the defendant stated that it does not recognize the claims. He noted that the plaintiff's activities are not of a commercial nature, it has no profits, while profit is an important criterion for determining the amount of compensation. In his opinion, the amount of 2 million rubles is not confirmed or justified. The defendant requested the court to dismiss the claim or at least reduce the amount of compensation to the minimum of 10 thousand rubles.

      The court of first instance partially granted the claim. It ordered "Azbuka" to pay 100 thousand rubles to the "Center." The "Center" attempted to appeal the decision; however, the Second Arbitration Court of Appeal did not change it.
