The mother of the Kirov resident who died on the railway has won 300,000 rubles in court.
The Kirov Transport Prosecutor's Office helped the mother of a Kirov resident obtain compensation after her son died on the railway. As reported by the supervisory agency, the tragedy occurred in the spring of 2026 near the Yurya station of the Gorky Railway. A 48-year-old man sustained fatal injuries as a result of being hit by a train. Since the mother of the deceased could not independently defend her rights, the transport prosecutor filed a lawsuit in court. The Yurya District Court granted the prosecutor's claims. Compensation for moral damages in the amount of 300,000 rubles was awarded to the woman from the owner of the hazardous source — JSC "Russian Railways" — and the insurance company. The transport prosecutor's office added that the enforcement of the court decision is under the control of the supervisory agency.
