The Ministry of Labor explained whether changing jobs will affect the receipt of family benefits.
According to RIA Novosti, citing the Ministry of Labor of Russia, changing employers does not deprive citizens of the right to the annual family allowance. If a person officially worked during the past year, they will be able to apply for the allowance even if they have already resigned or have not yet found a new job by the time of application.
As explained by the ministry, the main condition remains the presence of official income from which personal income tax (PIT) was withheld last year.
The amount of the allowance is calculated individually. For this, the PIT paid for the previous year is recalculated at a rate of 6%, and the difference is transferred to the recipient by the Social Fund of Russia in one payment.
It is worth noting that the new family allowance is intended for working parents raising two or more children. Families will be able to receive it if the average per capita income does not exceed one and a half living wage minimums per person, and the established requirements regarding property status are also met.
