In September, the Kirov region will "go underground."
This autumn, a new branded train dedicated to the Kirov region will appear in the Moscow metro. The project is being prepared by the regional government and the Tourism Development Center, reports the press service of the city administration. According to the head of the Tourism Development Center of the Kirov region, Alexey Cheptsov, each of the ten cars will have its own theme. One will tell about culture, another about nature, the third about industry, traditions, or tourist spots in the region. Thus, passengers will be able to get acquainted with different aspects of life in the Kirov region. The train's design will use elements of the Dymkovo ornament, as well as symbols dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Kirov region. The external side of each car will feature the name of the region, a jubilee logo, and branded slogans. As the organizers note, the new train will be a continuation of similar projects, but this time the design will be more diverse. While the train dedicated to the 650th anniversary of Kirov was done in a uniform style, this time each car will have its own story and visual design. Authorities hope that the unusual train will help increase the recognition of the Kirov region among residents and guests of Moscow, as well as attract new tourists to the region. The launch of the branded train is planned for September 2026.
