A Kirov resident received money for a "necessary" metal supplier.
The investigative department for the First May district of Kirov has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a supply specialist from one of the city's enterprises. The woman is accused of 11 episodes of receiving commercial bribes.
According to the Investigative Committee, from February 2022 to October 2023, the accused received money from a representative of a supplier company. In return, she allegedly ensured the priority selection of this firm for the procurement of metal products, despite the presence of other offers in the market.
The total amount of illegally obtained funds exceeded 950,000 rubles. The illegal activities of the employee were identified and stopped by the staff of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region.
The woman admitted her guilt and expressed remorse. The investigation believes that sufficient evidence has been gathered, and therefore the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court.
In addition, law enforcement will continue to assess the actions of the company representative who handed over the money.
