According to the FSB of Russia for the Kirov region, during operational search activities, it was established that a municipal employee was processing classified official information on a work computer connected to the Internet. According to the agency, such actions could have led to the leakage of documents containing state secrets. The FSB noted that the identified violations were promptly addressed, and the disclosure of classified information was avoided. The employee of the administration was officially warned about the inadmissibility of actions that create conditions for committing a crime provided for by part 1 of article 283 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Disclosure of State Secrets"). The regional FSB office reminded that the legislation provides for criminal liability for the disclosure of information constituting state secrets, up to and including imprisonment.
