A Kirov resident climbed into someone else's apartment using scaffolding and stole a television.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov Region, a 23-year-old resident of Kirov reported to the police. The young man stated that an unknown person entered his apartment and stole a television worth 12,000 rubles.
During operational-search activities, police officers identified the suspect. She turned out to be a 35-year-old woman. According to the investigation, she climbed into the apartment through an open balcony door, using scaffolding set up next to the building.
The stolen television was pawned by the woman, and she spent the money she received. The police managed to locate the stolen item, seize it, and return it to the owner.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under part 2 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft committed with illegal entry into a premises or other storage"). The investigation is ongoing.
