The Kumen Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 60-year-old resident of the village of Karachi in the Nolina District. He has been found guilty of murdering his 64-year-old cohabitant.
The investigation and the court established that in February 2026, in the village of Karachi, the man, while in a state of alcoholic intoxication, struck the woman in the chest with his fist during an argument. From the blow, she lost her balance and fell to the floor. After that, the defendant continued to beat the victim and then strangled her.
By the court's verdict, the man was sentenced to 10 years in a strict regime colony. The verdict has entered into legal force.
