"Looks more like a bus stop": residents of the region criticized the "scene" for 1.6 million
Today, July 27, the government of the Kirov region announced the creation of a "new public space" in the village of Kosino in the Verkhoshizhemsky district. They made a "stage," which can be seen in the photo above. The work was carried out as part of a project to support local initiatives, meaning it was partially funded by local residents. Authorities added that cultural and community events are now held near the local House of Culture.
Meanwhile, the new "stage" has drawn criticism from residents of the region. In the comments on the government's post, a local resident wrote: "It looks more like a public transport stop." This comment has already been liked by five people. Another local resident noted: "I also want to make such a canopy in the village for cars. Just a little better."
We decided to find out how much the authorities spent to purchase the metal frame with profiled sheeting and attach them to each other. According to information from the government procurement website, it was 1.6 million rubles. In addition to the stage, the contractor made a small paved area (which is also visible in the photo) and lighting (a spotlight).
